TULOY PA RIN!

Side A: Tuloy Pa Rin

Sa wari ko'y
Lumipas na ang kadiliman ng araw
Dahan-dahan pang gumigising
At ngayo'y babawi na

Muntik na
Nasanay ako sa 'king pag-iisa
Kaya nang iwanan ang
Bakas ng kahapon ko

CHORUS:

CHORUS:

CHORUS:

I don't have a 'major major' mistake in my life because in every situations that I've been through, I'm proud I learned from all of it. Now, I'm so excited to achieve my goals & dreams. Above all, let the LORD's WILL be done... ♫♪♫♪♥♥♥

The Legend of Sampaguita

The Legend of Sampaguita

A legend goes that once there were two lovers who vowed to be faithful and loyal to each other forever. The woman was so stunning and graceful. Her red lips and rosy cheeks matched her beautiful eyes. Many men of her age were dying to win her heart.

Equally attractive was the man of her dreams. He was also industrious and kind. It was not a wonder that many women were charmed whenever they get near him.

One night during a full moon, the two lovers made a pledge about their love for each other beneath a sturdy tree. “If you only know how much I love you that to even think of being separated from you almost take my breath away,” the woman said with teary eyes. “I would rather die than to be away from you. Always remember, I will never leave you,” the man promised as he wiped her tears.

“I’ll take your word for that,” the young woman said happily as she held the hands of her lover. Suddenly, she let go of his hands. “What if you find someone more lovely than me and fall in love with her,” the young woman persisted. “Surely you will leave me.”

“If only to assure you of my fidelity, here take this dagger,” the man said as he gave a sharp dagger to the woman. “If I break my promise to you, you have my permission to stab me with this.”

With trembling hands, the woman took the dagger and said to herself, “This dagger is meant for me. If you love any woman aside from me, I shall kill myself with this.”

Just then, the man thought of proving their love for each other. Using the dagger, they carved the words, “Sumpa kita” on the trunk of the tree. Somehow, the man’s promise of faithfulness had assuaged the beautiful woman. Although she kept the dagger in a secret place, she almost forgot about it since her lover did his best to win her trust. They would always be seen together by the villagers that their folks were just awaiting for a wedding announcement.

Unfortunately though, fate seemed to be cruel to the maiden. One morning, she came to know that his lover had eloped with another woman whom he married soon.

Since then, the abandoned woman would be seen seated beneath the tree, which was their meeting place. She seemed to be waiting for her lover. Day in and day out, she wept and grieved bitterly. She could not believe how her lover could afford to leave her to take another woman.

“This is too much for me to take,” she thought to herself. “But even if you have been unfaithful to me, I shall keep my promise.” Immediately after saying those words, she took the dagger from its hiding place and went to their usual meeting place. Then she looked at the trunk of the tree where their promise for each other was engraved.

“Sumpa kita!” she shouted as she thrusts the dagger hardly towards her breast. Instantly, the poor woman died. Her sorrowful parents buried her in the same spot. After a few weeks, a small plant emerged from that place. It bore small fragrant white flowers that caught the attention of the passers-by. The maiden’s parents thought it was their daughter, who came back to life in a form of a plant. The village folks called the plant, “Sumpa Kita.” Before long, it became sampaguita.

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN By: Shiva Madute

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN By: Shiva Madute

Until we meet again

You can tell all the good things

You can tell all the bad things

You can tell me all your pain and sorrow

I’ll just listen to you until tomorrow

Until we meet again

You can show me all your medals

You can show me all your accomplishments

You can show me the improve “you”

I’ll never get tired hoping and praying for that day

Until we meet again

That’s the time I’ll allow you

To kiss me tenderly

To hold me in your loving arms

To melt with you till eternity

Until we meet again

That’s the time I’ll show you

How much I care for you

How much I want you in my life

How much I need you in my life

How much I love you

Goodbye for now

I’m letting go of you for now

But I will never let go of you

Once you come back in my life

Until we meet again

DI LANG IKAW by Juris

(pa-like ako nito sa fb ah)
 ♫♪
Pansin mo ba ang pagbabago
Di matitigan ang iyong mga mata
Tila hindi na nananabik
Sa ‘yong yakap at halik
Sana’y malaman mo
Hindi sinasadya
Kung ang nais ko ay maging malaya

Di lang ikaw
Di lang ikaw ang nahihirapan
Damdamin ko rin ay naguguluhan
Di lang ikaw
Di lang ikaw ang nababahala
Bulong ng isip, ‘wag kang pakawalan
Ngunit puso ko ay kailangan kang iwan

Pansin mo ba ang nararamdaman
Di na tayo magkaintindihan
Tila hindi na maibabalik
Tamis ng yakap at halik
Maaring tama ka
Lumalamig ang pagsinta
Sana’y malaman mong ‘di ko sinasadya

Di lang ikaw
Di lang ikaw ang nahihirapan
Damdamin ko rin ay naguguluhan
Di lang ikaw
Di lang ikaw ang nababahala
Bulong ng isip, ‘wag kang pakawalan
Ngunit puso ko ay kailangan kang iwan

BRIDGE:
Di hahayaang habang buhay kang saktan
Di sasayangin ang iyong panahon
Ikaw ay magiging masaya
Sa yakap at sa piling ng iba

Di lang ikaw
Di lang ikaw ang nahihirapan
Damdamin ko rin ay naguguluhan
Di lang ikaw
Di lang ikaw ang nababahala
Bulong ng isip, ‘wag kang pakawalan
Ngunit puso ko ay kailangan kang iwan

sorry but i have to say this :|

this might be so emotional, but please bear with me people. some words are not suited for some readers. guidance is advised.

Life is fair, indeed. But, it is full of unfair people.
I'm sorry but I admit I'm one of those unfair ones. Why? (let me reflect)

1) I still spend some of my energy to 'that person' when I still have a lot of responsibilities in life to meet.
I keep myself busy with things to do but every time I pause I still think of him.
  • visiting his page, liking & commenting some posts in his fb wall
  • crying over him when he has hurt me
  • thinking about him at least 20 times a day & wondering what he's doing
  • waiting for a time or moment to chat with him & knowing he's whereabouts and what-abouts
  • forcing him to reveal something confidential when he is really not willing to share it so (just last night)
  • being crazy about him when i really have to trust God for His Will
  • asking people what's with him like letting those people see that I'm so damn crazy (sorry for the words)
  • stealing time to open his mail & rarely his fb account when it should be privately for him (I'm so insane omg!)
2) I always get angry to my dad & mom whenever they give signs that they don't want 'that person.'

Like they always mention I should marry someone who has good credentials in short they like GDC but I keep on strongly disagreeing about it because i like 'that person.' Well, I just realized they're indeed just right for guiding me. My dad has always been supportive & protective because he does not want my future to get lost just because of a wrong partner in life. My parents are right. Somehow, I realized how they loved me so much. My mom always gives me a compliment that "matalino ka nga anak..." but "tanga ka sa pag-ibig." She points out that my weakness is my heart though I have the 'brains'.

3)  I'm unfair because I want 'that person' to be mine when it's really making me selfish & demanding.

I'm getting envious & jealous whenever i see something in his fb wall that will trigger my anger & bitterness.
I always want me, myself & I for him. (How selfish I am!)

You know, I'm giving my love without a righteous cause to 'that person'. Frankly, I see myself as a mentally unsound person wasting my time, energy, effort to 'him' when the Lord wants me to trust in His own plan for me. I always expect something from 'that person' that someday he'll love me for what & who I am where he really can't choose to. And I still allow 'him' to make me believe with what he call 'his cock-&-bull stories' (lies). I still give chance even if he has 'unreasonable' faults. (ayan tanga na ako di ba?) I still pretend that I am 'his' & 'he' is mine. (how yucky for you guys right?)

So, tell me what should I do. Feel free to comment before I lose my pride & self-esteem being crazy for 'the undeserving.'

Quotes to Ponder: June 07, 2010

  • What's meant to be will always find a way.♥ (pero kung puro kalokohan at kasinungalingan lng, wag na lang hahaha)
  • Have a heart that never hardens, a temper that never tires, a touch that never hurts. - Charles Dickens (gudlak na lang!)
  • They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel. - Carl W. Buechner (TAMA!!! kaya tamaan ka!)
  • The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. - Mark Twain (ok)
  • Real generosity is doing something nice for someone who will never find out. - Frank A. Clark (up until now I've never found it out. you mean, he's real generous???? Whatever!)
  • Don't judge the book by it's cover. (TAMA!!!because he is NOT A BOOK! hahahahahahaha!)
  • Nothing good ever comes out when you flirt with unfaithfulness. (korek check!)
  • Change is the only permanent thing in this world.

himurin mo hanggang buto.

Montage - Ophelia A. Dimalanta

MONTAGE

O. Alcantara-Dimalanta

OPHELIA ALCANTARA-DIMALANTA graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Santo Tomas with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1954. She has since been handling classes in literature and creative writing in the same university. Montage and Other Poems is a published collection of her poetry.
“Montage” is probably Mrs. Dimalanta’s best-known work. It won the best-poem award of the Poetic Circle, a fortnightly publication of Iowa State University. Montage and Other Poems won a Palanca Memorial Award in 1974.

Monday jolts and she bogs down, a ragbag
Splayed off at tangents. Windows
To the outside and flecks of faces
Spring the morning clear to set her
Into her old dimensions. Piece by piece
She puts on eight o’ clock, pillows
And bedcovers in a tumble pat her
In place. The clearest outglass
Of grapefruit juice teetering on a silver
Tray for breakfast-in-bed exigencies
(Both for effect and effectivity)
Is for a fact but fictive in the mind.

Which holds the moment a little longer,
Stalls the stupor of the previous night,
Images of her beautiful in blank spaces,
Wandering truant like in a private region;
Clouds of night jammed in one wicked
Corner of sleep. She hoards them
Like a child and triumphantly pieces
Them into a total singular perspective;
Splayed-off tatters of mornings,
A dark undisciplined of clouds settled
Right into the atmosphere recreating
Her Monday-world, jolted suddenly
Into the teeth of everyday people
And cluttering pans of slapdash.
She exudes it now becomingly
As she glides and putters about
Alternately, spreads it as a haze
Enveloping her form, perfectly
Dissolved in solid tones and chromes.
A jewel durably ensphered in mist,
Old gold etched in ever-emerging shades.

10 Lessons I Learned from FarmVille by FR. STEPHEN A. CUYOS, MSC

FarmVille is a Facebook game which allows members of the popular social network to plant, grow and harvest fruits and vegetables as well as raise animals on one’s virtual farm. I only startedplaying FarmVille five days ago and, as of this writing, I am now at level 14 with 45,431 coins and 4248 XP. You can say that I am a dedicated farmer. Most of the animals and trees I own are gifts from fellow farmers. The more I play FarmVille the more I enjoy the real-time flash game. One time I had to reschedule my dinner to harvest my crops on time.
Here are ten lessons I learned while tending my virtual farm.
1. Growth takes time, effort, and lots of patience. You cannot hurry the crops. Or make your cows produce milk in seconds. Growth is neither sudden nor easy. It is a process which requires that one step be completed successfully before proceeding to the next.
2. There are always elements that will try to stifle your growth. In FarmVille you have to deal with leaves, weeds, and crows. I real life you have to deal with difficult situations and people who discourage you and try to pull you down.
3. But don’t worry about leaves, weed, and crows – your neighbors will always come to your aid. Look around, you are never alone. Believe in the goodness of others.
4. Helping others clean up leaves, scare off crows, or kill weeds not only give you extra coins and XP but also make you a better neighbor. Whenever I receive messages like this – “Hiya, Fr.! Just look at these leaves! Would you help me rake them up?” I always click “yes”. My main motive is not to gain more coins and XP but to return the favor to people who have also helped me keep my own farm clean and healthy.
5. The more gifts you give, the more gifts you receive.
This is true in FarmVille. This is also true in real life. It was Orison Swett Marden who said “We must give more in order to get more. It is the generous giving of ourselves that produces the generous harvest.”

6. If you don’t harvest on time, your plants will wither. Just as in FarmVille, to succeed in real life you have to do the right thing at the right time.
7. You can share your triumphs with others. In Farmville you can share your rewards in the form of bonuses. I know of some people who regularly check their Facebook feeds to see if any of their friends have recently won any ribbons. For there they will find the option to earn a bonus from them. The better the ribbon the more coins you will get.
8. You need to work hard to get what you want and need. Aside from plowing, planting and harvesting and dealing with leaves, weeds and crows, you also have to budget your time and coins. You also need to buy the right seeds, trees and animals for optimum profit. Believe me, it can be complicated. If you want to succeed in FarmVille you have to work hard. If you want to succeed in life you have to work harder. As David Bly puts it – “Striving for success without hard work is like trying to harvest where you haven’t planted.”
9. You do not become a Good Samaritan through a single act of kindness. You need to help other farmers hundreds of times before earning your Good Samaritan ribbon. In the same way, you do not become a good person just by doing one single act of goodness. You need to be a good person, a “good samaritan” repeatedly and consistently.
10. After a harvest there must plowing and sowing again. Such is life. The end of something is the beginning of another one.  And I hope that as you complete one step in your life may you begin the next one as a person who has matured and learned his lessons. Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later.

Tanging Mahal by Regine Velasquez

Tanging Mahal

Sabihin ko kaya sayo
Damdamin na itinatago
Paano aking kaibigan
Lihim ay katotohanan

KORO:

Sabihin mong pag-ibig kong minimithi
inaasam
Kaylan pa ba maririnig ito sinta
Kung sana'y makapiling ka
Habang buhay aking sinta

Pagtingin sayo'y nagbago
Pagtibok ng aking puso
Sana'y iyong malaman
Ikaw at ikaw lamang

KORO:

Sabihin mong pag-ibig kong minimithi
o inaasam
Kaylan pa ba maririnig ito sinta
Kung sana'y makapiling ka
Habang buhay aking sinta

(repeat Koro)

The Blessing of Being Single by Airah Joyce Paredes

the blessing of being single

nowadays, girl-boy relatioship is a trend…almost everyone is getting into a relationship without commitment. they might say that they’re committed to each other, but i have a question, you have committed to whom or to what?? to the person or to the physical intimacy that you’re yearning for?? for me people who commit to this thing are beclouded and blinded by the world’s presentation of this kind of relationship. sadly young people see it as right and usual.. by the way right and good is different from each other…
i am not saying that it is a bad thing, but if one would scrutinize every side of it it got lot of flaws-i am not saying that staying single is perfect. my point here is having a boyfriend or girlfriend snatches away the time you must be growing in faith, serving God, being productive and cultivating the talents that God has given you… it doesn’t mean that you’ll seclude your life from having an intimate relationship with others–you can be intimate with other people, to your friends, to your family of faith..intimacy without lust…in this way you can be patient in God’s time…let us always remeber that everything have perfect timing- i am really against to the advertisement that says "life can’t wait"- how can you have the right and good choice if you were impatient..we should not put everything in our hands let us not be hesitant to consult everything to God-especially if you weren’t sure if it will work…maybe some will see this ridiculous or what but i am saying this because this is what i see…it is really frustrating i must say…let us keep in our minds that the joy of intimacy is the reward of commitment…we must change our attitude of this kind of relationship, why not see others as our brothers or sisters instead of our future boyfriend of girlfriend.. in this way we will be building and growing for God;s Glory!!Let us be the pure generation!!

Blooming at Twenteen (^^,)

What a wonderful birthday!

Thank GOD for another year to please Him, serve Him, and let Him fulfill His purpose in my life.

Even though it has been stressful because of tiresome enrollment, loved ones made my day.
My classmates were shouting at the registrar corridor "Happy Birthday Aleeh!"
Friends sent their sweet birthday messages and wishes thru text and net messaging.
I'm so shocked because the people that I'm not expecting to greet me sent me comments and messages on Facebook. One of them is my ultimate crush, CSM. I'm even flattered of what my school mates said, "Aleeh, you're blooming today." "You're not the rugged Aleeh that we met before. You're getting more professional-looking and beautiful." I just answered one of them, "it's just an effect of being happily single." Do you agree? Just leave a comment if you don't. haha!

In the afternoon, I have been with my special friend, Buging. We ate at Mang Inasal; we grabbed the "Unlimited Rice" meal. After that, we went to SM Mall of Asia to have window shopping, picture taking, seaside viewing. Since it's Friday, we waited for the 7 o'clock fireworks; it's a weekly exhibition of the mall. It started late because the vessel which carries the fireworks was strongly carried by the wind and the waves. It has to be in the middle, far enough from us. I took pictures of the colorful, glaring, and stylish fireworks. Then, he whispered, "That's my gift. Happy Birthday." It was really a BIG wow.

We even blew bubbles for the children to enjoy. Indeed, I made it a game - making a lots of tiny bubbles in just a blow. We did enjoy it so much especially seeing some little kids catching those bubbles in the air. Moreover, he let me experience to ride on a tramcar and explore the whole seaside even its corners. Starbucks have this delicious White Mocha Frappe, but he let me taste Dairy Queen's Mocha Moolatte which is what he says more delicious than the former. We really had a lot of fun; and I wish it's not the last.

I'm actually looking forward to bring my best friends, Carlou & Madel there if we all have free time. We're still planning for it, and saving for it. Having such enjoyment and activities would mean budget. haha.

Thanks to those who sincerely extended their warmest greetings.

I love y'all! Thank You, Lord.

Just a glimpse, I would be happier :)

I have an ultimate crush on this mysterious and snobbish Social Science teacher. Of all the teachers that I’ve known from that school, he was just the one and only guy instructor that I added in Friendster™. Take note: I was the one who invited him. And goshness, [fingers crossed], I’m hoping that he would confirm it. Fortunately, he did! And I shouted in front of my desktop as if I’m the happiest lady on earth that time. One of the high school faculty members knows that he is my crush. There are times that I’m worried because she might reveal it to him. But, I just kept in mind that I don’t care at all because I don’t think that he would like me too. I’m just a big dumb ass to him, perhaps. And, I’m not expecting anything in return. I’m just happy admiring him, liking him silently, and staring at him secretly. Gazing at him warmly is one of my hobbies and it’s like a necessity. Just to see his serious and manly face and killer eyes, it makes every day so colorfully glaring. When there had been a suspension of classes because of a typhoon, I badly missed him. That was the time that I accidentally confessed it to one of the faculty members thru chat. Well, you might ask why don’t I message him since he’s already my friend in Friendster™ and Facebook. I really have a plan to do so, but whenever that idea tickles me, the other side of myself says that I have NOTHING to do about it for these several reasons:

1. True love waits.

2. Why do I have to make the first move? Do girls have the accountability to do so?

3. I’m just keeping my self-respect and perhaps, dignity as well.

Honestly, a while ago I just grabbed 5 of his pictures from his Friendster™ and I’m planning to print those to wallet size and of course, put it in my favorite wallet. That’s how I’m gripped with him – not an obsession but I definitely admire him so. Just a glimpse of him would be a happier moment – happier moment.

Creation

I'm just a little caught in the nature
I was amazed it's like a riddle
I don't know what to do can't enjoy it alone
I've tried, so just come on and on
and just enjoy the earth!

The sun is hot in the sky
just like a giant spotlight
the next day God created the dome
and separated with water
and the plants and the Lord with the stars that God had planned!

With living animals (3x)
small, wild, big and large

And then the humans (3x)
I'm not alone no more!

This is my students' revived song about creation in the tune of "I-dunno-song". haha!
St. Simon [Composed by: Janelle Dalida, Eirielle Romero, Irish Del Rosario, Ranielle Paulino]

Creation! Creation!

Creation, creation!
Let there be light!
It must have seen so bright.
God made the clear blue sky
A place for many birds can fly.

Creation, creation!
He brought land apart from seas
With all the plants, grass and trees
With all the shining moon, stars and sun
The work of God is almost done.

Creation. creation!
As we see the fish and seas
God did all of these with just His Words
Then God formed all beasts and man
To finish His most wonderful plan.

This is my students' poem about creation. (St. Simon: Giselle Miole's Group)
